Tom Hanchett: From Independence to Myers Park: How John Nolen shaped Charlotte’s landscape
The Charlotte Garden Club was established in 1926 as Charlotte’s first garden club, making it one of the oldest in North Carolina. Our purpose has always been to expand for each generation the knowledge of gardening through educational programs and community projects under the direction of experts in the fields of horticulture and design.
The Charlotte Garden Club programs bring nationally recognized experts and regional authorities in horticulture and landscape design. The club meets monthly, September through May, and extends a welcome to all interested gardeners.
All programs are open to the public unless otherwise noted. Meetings are held at the Mint Museum of Art, 2730 Randolph Rd., Charlotte, NC 28211. The social hour begins at 6:30 pm, with the program to follow at 7:15 pm.
